Visit Our New Chandlery
Jannel Cruisers' new and expanded chandlery is housed in an
attractive
brick period-styled canalside building with elegantly arched windows
and doors, slate-type roof tiles, and a clock tower topped with a
brass 'narrowboat' weathervane. |
 |
Inside the chandlery, you will find a wide selection of mechanical,
electrical and engine spares, marine hardware (boat shafts, mooring
pins, hammers, windlasses etc), chimneys, a full range of Blakes
and International paints, a good choice of rope, and general hardware -
virtually everything required by the narrowboat owner. We are also distributors and stockists of Phil Speight's Craftmaster paints. |
 |
Jannel are
accredited suppliers and installers of 'Adverc' battery management
systems and official stockists of Kabola oil stoves and Aarrow
multi-fuel stoves. We also stock competitively priced brass
portholes,
mushroom vents and ancillary brassware which have been sourced
direct
from a UK manufacturing brass foundry, a wide selection of fenders
made for Jannel Cruisers and a full range of Hep2O plumbing
fittings.
Items like cookers, heaters and refrigerators are available to order
and, of course, Jannel will continue to issue BW licences and
stock a
wide range of maps, guides, videos, traditional giftware and canal
paintings by a local artist produced exclusively for Jannel. |
 |
Examples of our competitive prices include 11inch brass full hopper
opening portholes at £78.99 and batteries 110a 679 at £54.95 or
643 at
£45.95 (all prices include VAT). |
 |
The new chandlery complements the already existing 60-boat mooring
basin, slipway, covered dry dock facility (now with heating for
improved winter working), engineering workshop, and dedicated
woodworking shop. Shobnall Marina offers boaters the full range of
support they need - boat painting by Chris; mechanical and diesel
engine specialisation from Dave; Iain Jones who is the on-site BSS
examiner and now, also, the Chandlery Manager; a wealth of boat
building, mechanical, electrical, welding and woodworking
expertise is
provided by Mike; and Janette, although often hidden from sight
under
a mass of paperwork, is usually the first point of contact for your
telephone and e-mail enquiries. |
 |
With the recently completed nearby visitor moorings on the Trent &
Mersey, stopping at Jannel Cruisers at Burton upon Trent is now a
'must' - a boon to boaters, both locally based or visitors just
passing through.
