 Dry dock
Our fully covered and heated dry dock is available for DIY use or
fully serviced by our staff. Thus, you can hire the dry dock to
paint your boat yourself - we will pressure wash first - or you can
ask us to paint your hull for you including a visual check of stern
gear and hull.
We can undertake most repairs to your
hull; for instance if your prop shaft is worn, all spares are kept
in stock. Worn area on your hull? No problem, our expert staff can
undertake any repairs necessary. All paints, brushes, rollers,
gloves etc are kept in stock.
You can rest assured that no matter
what you may find when you dry dock your boat we will be able to
deal with it. And, with our dry dock being fully covered, we (or
you, if you choose the DIY option) are able to carry on working no
matter what the weather is doing!

Shobnall Marina's Workshop
Facilities & Expertise
Our staff have between them over 250 years experience of dealing
with narrowboats and their equipment. We have dealt with most
problems over the years and always manage to come up with answers to
even the most difficult of problems that may occur with your boat.
Our job is to try and ensure that
your boating is enjoyable, trouble-free and relaxing. We offer you
the confidence that whatever may go wrong can be dealt with
efficiently and quickly.
The
dedicated woodworking area in our workshop is fully
equipped and our cabinet maker can make you anything from new doors,
cratch board (cratch covers also available) to re-fitting your boat.
We can show you examples of the excellent craftmanship that we
offer.
Our
engineering workshop can undertake anything from
small repairs to rebuilding an engine. We regularly have a
reconditioned engine in stock (call for details). We can turn metal
for rudder bearings, supply complete rudder assemblies or repair
your existing if possible.
Painting
Shed
Our painter is always busy with anything from touching up scratches
to a full repaint. We take pride in using the very best materials
that will make your boat look the best its ever done.
A full repaint includes taking the
paintwork back to bare metal if necessary, treating with rust
converter, two primers, two undercoats and two gloss - flatting off
between coats. You can have single or double coachiines and any
signwriting you wish. We will always be pleased to show you examples
of work done.
 Boat
Safety Examinations
If your boat is due for its test just give us ring and we can do the
test, issue your report and certificate (if it passes) or tell you
what needs doing. Either you can do the work or we can and then
re-test and issue certificate. If you wish to be present during the
test, you are more than welcome.
Gas work
Our Corgi registered gas engineer can take any worries regarding gas
off your mind, whether it is checking your system for any leaks to
servicing your appliances or even installing a new system.
